How is Tier 1 Sportsmen different from other platforms?
Tier 1 Sportsmen is the first comprehensive hunt-planning platform built entirely around preparation, execution, and measurable progress.
While most platforms focus on highlight reels, harvest photos, or gear promotion, Tier 1 Sportsmen is designed to help you:
- -Fill your tag more consistently
- -Operate with greater efficiency
- -Reduce avoidable mistakes
- -Increase confidence and enjoyment in the field
The tools on this platform allow you to plan, organize, and track every critical detail of your hunt — from long-term goal setting to boots-on-the-ground execution.
Is Tier 1 Sportsmen for hunters, anglers, or both?
Currently, Tier 1 Sportsmen is focused exclusively on hunting-related pursuits.
However, expansion into fishing and broader outdoor adventures is part of our long-term vision. Our goal is to apply the same structured planning, preparation standards, and performance-driven approach to the angling community in the future.
For now, we are building the foundation in the hunting space — and building it the right way.

Missions
What is the Mission part of the platform?
The Mission section is where you plan your adventures with precision.
It allows you to build out your hunts in detail, track objectives, organize logistics, and manage every critical component of your outdoor pursuits.
This is where preparation turns into structured action.
What is the purpose of thee Mission part of the platform?
The purpose of creating a Mission is to ensure nothing is left to chance.
By breaking your adventure into structured sections, you can plan years in advance, stay organized, and maintain forward progress toward your long-term goals.
Missions help you move from “someday” thinking to scheduled execution — and ultimately, accomplished objectives.
What are the parts of a Mission?
Each Mission is broken into structured sections to ensure no detail is overlooked:
Mission TOC
-Your Mission command overview. Here, you can filter and review all planned Missions, see a quick summary of those in Planning or Active status, and access archived Missions in your “All Missions” list once completed.
Mission Details
-The foundation of your plan. Enter key information such as departure date, duration, weapon type, location, target species, guide information, and attach relevant documents.
Members (Premium – Teams Membership only)
-Build your fire team. Add members to your Mission and assign role identifiers to clearly define responsibilities and accountability within the group.
Logistics
-Organize critical travel information including flight details, arrival and departure times, layovers, and ground transportation plans. This section ensures smooth movement from start to finish.
Budget
-Plan and track your financial commitments. Outline projected expenses and mark items as paid to stay organized and financially prepared.
Gear
-Search your existing Gear list and assign items directly to the Mission. Generate a printable packing list and track estimated weight — including body-worn weight, pack weight, and additional transported gear.
Nutrition
-Create a detailed nutrition plan for each day of your Mission. Pull items from your Nutrition list and assign them to specific days and meal times to properly plan your caloric intake and macronutrients. You can also use direct links to restock items before departure, ensuring you’re fully fueled and prepared.
Debrief (Coming Soon)
-An expansion within Missions that allows you to document field experiences and create After-Action Reports (AARs). The goal is to help you analyze performance, identify lessons learned, and execute at a higher level on your next trip.
Every section is designed to move you from idea → structure → execution.
Can Missions be solo or unit-based?
Both — it depends on your membership tier.
Singleton Membership (Free):
-Missions are solo-based. You can plan and execute your own adventures but cannot add additional members to your Mission.
Teams Membership (Premium):
-You can plan solo Missions or build a unit-based Mission by adding members to your fire team. This allows for structured collaboration, defined roles, and coordinated execution.
Whether operating alone or with a team, the planning standard remains the same — detailed, intentional, and mission-focused.
Are Missions public or private?
All Mission details are private by default.
If you create a solo Mission, only you can view its full contents. If you add members to a Mission, those assigned members will have access to the Mission information.
On your public profile, others may see the name of your Missions, but no operational details, planning data, or logistics are visible.
Full disclosure the Tier 1 Sportmen has access to your information thought our Admin database. but to be honest we do not want to sift throught all that information to find your secrete spot, its just to much. but if requested or concerns arrise we can review the informatiuon you put in your Missions.
Your strategy stays protected. Your execution stays intentional.
Full Disclosure
Tier 1 Sportsmen administrators do have backend access to platform data through our admin system. However, we do not actively monitor or review member Missions without reason. We have no interest in searching for personal locations or private strategies.
If a concern is reported, a standards issue arises, or a compliance review becomes necessary, we reserve the right to review submitted Mission information.
Do I have to complete everything in order?
No. The only required field to save a Mission is the Mission name.
Once the Mission is created, you can return at any time to complete the remaining sections in whatever order works best for you.
The structure is there to guide you — but the pace is yours to control.
Do I have to complete a Mission?
No. You control the status of your Mission.
At any time, you can designate a Mission as Planning, Active, or Completed based on your current stage of preparation or execution.
The platform is built to support your process — whether a Mission is still in development, underway, postponed, or fully accomplished.
Patches & Tabs
What is the Patches & Tabs part of the platform?
Patches & Tabs are a structured way for members to display verified knowledge, experience, and achievement within the Tier 1 community. Your earned Patches and Tabs are displayed on your profile.
What is the purpose of the Patches & Tabs part of the platform?
The purpose of Patches & Tabs is to maintain credibility and uphold standards.
Members must apply for each Patch or Tab and submit reviewable information to validate their knowledge, experience, or accomplishments. Applications are reviewed by the Tier 1 Sportsmen team to help mitigate exaggeration and ensure integrity across the platform.
This system reinforces the Tier 1 Sportsmen Core Values:

What are Patches and Tabs?
A Patch represents a broad category of knowledge or experience.
Earning a Patch indicates that you have demonstrated general competence and understanding within that specific area.
Each Patch contains associated Tabs, which represent more specific and advanced knowledge within that category.
Applying for and earning a Tab demonstrates deeper expertise, verified experience, and a higher standard of understanding.
Example
The Regulation Patch recognizes those who hunt and fish responsibly, understanding laws, seasons, and ethics that keep our traditions alive.
While the Wyoming Tab recognizes individuals who demonstrate expert knowledge of state hunting and fishing regulations, seasons, and ethical practices.
Patch = Broad Competence
Tab = Specific, Verified Expertise
How do I earn Patches & Tabs?
Patches and Tabs must be applied for — they are not automatically granted.
Each Patch and Tab has specific qualification requirements that must be met before approval. Members must submit the necessary information for review, and applications are evaluated by the Tier 1 Sportsmen team to ensure standards are upheld.
Tabs cannot be earned until their corresponding Patch has first been awarded.
Recognition is earned through demonstrated knowledge and experience — not claimed.
Can Patches or Tabs be revoked or expire?
Patches and Tabs do not expire.
However, they may be revoked if it is discovered that submitted information was falsified or intentionally misrepresented.
The integrity of the system depends on honesty and accountability. Standards are maintained to protect the value of every Patch and Tab earned.
What happens if my submissions is not approved?
If your application is denied, you will be provided with a clear explanation outlining the reason for the decision.
You will also have the opportunity to correct the issue and resubmit your application for review.
Our goal is not to reject submissions, but to uphold the standards of Tier 1 Sportsmen while giving every member a fair opportunity to earn their Patches and Tabs through authenticity and accountability.

Let me be direct. If you choose to act in a way that violates our Core Values — Authenticity, Accountability, Dedication, Growth, and Humility — you undermine the very purpose of Tier 1 Sportsmen. This platform was built for men and women who hold themselves to a higher standard. If that standard doesn’t align with how you operate, this may not be the right community for you. It’s built for individuals committed to self-improvement — for themselves, their families, and the legacy they leave in the field. If you’re here to grow, to operate with integrity, and to elevate those around you — you belong here. — Wes
Community, Collaboration, & Content
How do I know someone's experience level?
Patches and Tabs are designed to provide insight into a member’s verified experience, achievements, and skill level within the field.
However, they are only part of the picture.
We encourage all members to conduct their own due diligence when communicating, planning missions, or heading into the outdoors with others. Personal responsibility and proper vetting are essential to safety and success.
At Tier 1 Sportsmen, we value authenticity and accountability, but smart decision-making will always be a shared responsibility.
Is there a Forum or Messaging system?
Not yet — but it’s coming soon.
A Forum and Messaging system are currently in development and planned for release in the near future.
In the meantime, continue exploring the platform, building your Profile, planning Missions, and preparing for your next adventure in the field.
What content can members contribute?
We’re looking for high-quality, field-driven content that helps fellow outdoorsmen and women perform at a higher level.
This includes:
- -Unique photos of sub-species in their natural habitat
- -In-field photography and videos of gear in action
- -Articles or explainer videos within your area of expertise
- -Educational content that improves preparation, performance, and field knowledge
Our goal is to build a platform driven by real-world experience, practical insight, and authentic field documentation.
If it helps others grow, prepare better, and operate more effectively outdoors — we want to see it.
Who owns the content members submit?
When you upload, post, or submit content to Tier 1 Sportsmen — including content added to your Profile, submitted for Patch or Tab applications, uploaded to Missions, or shared in any other area of the platform — you grant Tier 1 Sportsmen a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that content.
This includes photos, videos, articles, written submissions, and any other media format.
By submitting content, you provide consent for Tier 1 Sportsmen to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, display, or promote that content in any manner we deem appropriate. Submission of content does not entitle you to compensation, royalties, or proceeds of any kind.
We will never share your personal information or disclose sensitive location data associated with your content.
Platform Roadmap
What features are planned but not implemented yet?
Tier 1 Sportsmen is continuously evolving. Several features are currently in development or in active research as we work to build a complete tool belt for outdoorsmen and women who want to perform at their best during the limited days we get in the field each year.
Below is a look at what’s coming:
Debrief
-An expansion within Missions that allows you to document field experiences and create After-Action Reports (AARs). The goal is to help you analyze performance, identify lessons learned, and execute at a higher level on your next trip.
Intel Reports
-Detailed reports on sub-species, locations, and supporting companies — designed to provide structured, reliable information to aid in preparation and decision-making.
High-Value Target
-Your personal “Hit List.” Add target species, mark locations you want to explore, and track your progress and points toward future objectives.
Harvest Report
-A comprehensive logging system for your harvests. Record as much detail as you’d like for future club applications — or keep it simple and log only what matters to you. The data is there when you need it.
Slam Quest
-Integrated with your Harvest Reports, this feature helps track which slams you’re close to completing, discover new slams, and plan your next pursuit.
Training Area
-An educational hub featuring learning modules and resources designed to help you grow your knowledge and sharpen your skills in the field.
Garrison
-A community connection point featuring forums, member interaction, and event discovery.
PX
-The official marketplace for Tier 1 Sportsmen gear and other approved equipment.
Every feature is built with one purpose in mind: helping you prepare better, execute better, and grow through authentic field experience.
Will there be a mobile app for phones?
Yes — a mobile app is planned.
However, our priority is building a strong, reliable foundation through continued website development first. We believe it’s important to refine the core platform, strengthen features, and ensure a solid user experience before launching a dedicated mobile app.
Once the foundation is built to the standard our members expect, a mobile app will follow.
We’re focused on building it right — not rushing it.
How can I provide feedback?
We welcome and value your feedback.
If you have suggestions, ideas, or notice anything that can be improved, please reach out to us at command@tier1sportsmen.com.
Your dedication to helping us improve the platform is greatly appreciated. Tier 1 Sportsmen is built for its members — and your input helps us grow stronger every day.
